X Factor’s Josh Daniel has signed a major recording contract with Jay Z’s label Roc Nation.
The handsome singer won the hearts of the nation, with his emotional rendition of Labrinth’s hit single ‘Jealous, reducing Simon Cowell and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, to tears.
Josh sailed through his first audition and the bootcamp stage, where he was mentored by Nick Grimshaw, but unluckily for the talented lad, he was not picked by Nick, for his final 3 and was sent home at the judges houses stage.
It came as a surprise to many that the likeable northerner was not picked for the live shows, and an even bigger shock when at the end of the current series, the boys mentor, Grimshaw, revealed that he had picked Josh Daniel as the winner, while the other judges had all correctly predicted that, Louisa, would be crowned the champion.
But now Daniel is set to record his debut album in the UK and US on a major label, which is home to some of the biggest names in the world including Rihanna and Kanye West.
The singer has confirmed the news by sharing a number of articles about him signing to the label on his Twitter account.
