The next year, they got married at a hotel in Santa Monica, California. Their first child Jane Erin Carrey was brought to the world on September 6, 1987, just a few months after they wed. Their union didn’t endure very long. 

In the 1990s, Melissa Womer and Jim Carrey filled in for a divorce. They made it known that the reason for the divorce was due to their respective demanding occupations. During the divorce, she requested $5 to $10 million from Jim Carrey as part of the divorce settlement. 

Unfortunately, Melissa Womer only got $3.5 million for herself and received $7 million for her daughter Jane Erin Carrey after they had been apart for eight years.
