Her father, Michael Conrad Braxton Sr., had a dual role as a Methodist clergyman and power company worker. Meanwhile, her mother, Evelyn Jackson, hailed from South Carolina and had a diverse background as a former opera singer, cosmetologist, and pastor.

Toni Braxton, the oldest of her six siblings, has a younger brother named Michael Conrad Braxton Jr. and four younger sisters named Traci BraxtonTowanda BraxtonTrina Braxton, and Tamar Braxton

Toni Braxton, 56, was previously married and is the mother of two sons. She tied the knot with musician Keri Lewis in 2001, and they welcomed two sons, Denim Cole Braxton-Lewis and Diezel Ky Braxton-Lewis

Unfortunately, Diezel Ky Braxton-Lewis was diagnosed with autism at a young age, which made Toni Braxton a strong advocate for autism awareness and support. After being together for eight years, Braxton and Lewis decided to separate in 2009 and later finalized their divorce in 2013.
