Steve Aoki and Desiigner Get Matching "Mic Drop" Tattoos

Steve Aoki and Desiigner, who recently collaborated with BTS on the track, “Mic Drop (Remix), received matching tattoos to commemorate their number one single together.

The tattoo, which includes a small image of a hand doing a “mic drop,” is marked on both Aoki and Desiigner’s upper left arm. It is meant to honor their hit single with K-pop group BTS titled “Mic Drop (Remix),” which debuted at No. 28 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in November. Aoki produced the single and Desiigner featured on vocals. Just last month, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) announced that the track went gold.

As well as their “mic drop” tattoo, Aoki and Desiigner also received a second tattoo on their arms of the words “KOLONY TOUR.” The name is in honor of Steve Aoki’s North American “Kolony Tour” which featured Desiigner as an opening act. The tour began on February 10th in Washington, D.C. and will conclude on March 17th in Las Vegas, Nevada, where Aoki maintains a residency.
